Chinese Death/Thrashers 毒蠱 Unleash “Demo II”, a Promising Preliminary Effort
Trudging through the deep dark depths of Bandcamp rewards the adventurer with dirt, rubbish, and occasionally, a shiny piece of titanium. I was lucky enough to stumble upon a demo by 毒蠱 (which translates to “Poison” from Chinese to English) a few weeks ago which featured a fair share of original songs and covers. The Chinese murder crew is back with their second demo ― same thrashing metal madness, better recording quality.

A Look into the Vibrant and Creative Youth of America: California’s Azath Debuts with a Pestilent Demo
The current Californian death metal scene is ripe with brutality-infested teens, off-the-curve musicians, and innovative minds. The non-homogenous members of Ripped to Shreds and Draghkar decided they hadn’t used enough riffs from their notebooks yet so far in 2018’s lifespan, so they also decided to demo Azath’s Malazan-infused death metal for us before New Year’s cusp. Luckily, the excessive output does not hinder these young lads’ material whatsoever.
Synths and Sodomy: A Look into Grave Dust’s Debut Demo
Grave Dust has recently released a first sampling of their sound. From the front cover to the last drum hit, Pale Hand oozes raw old-school-death-metal brutality. Furthermore, the group mixes up the well-established sound with tastefully-used synthesizers that both manage to break up the noise and make those heavy double-bass sections hit even harder.
